Taman Negara was a mixed experience but worth visiting overall. It is surprisingly difficult to get to however so we ended up using the shuttle with NKS. We stayed in Kuala Tahan which is a small, quiet village. There are a couple of nice restaurants overlooking the river. To get to the rainforest you have to cross the river which was quite fun.
