Can civilians travel on Navy ships?
The Navy has a variety of programs that offer civilians short voyages. Participation is by getting a congressman as a sponsor, by contacting the naval base commander in your area or by being the dependant of a sailor on sea duty.
Can you visit an aircraft carrier?

How much does it cost to tour the USS Missouri?
General Admission ($34.99* adults, $17.49 children ages 4-12) With your General Admission you are welcome to choose from two choices to explore the Battleship Missouri. Choose which one suits your interests, or you can do them all if you have the time.
Can you have your phone on a Navy ship?
Sailors in uniform can only use Navy and personal cell phones while stationary and also must be able to render proper salute. Only a Navy-issued wireless communication device may be worn on the belt of the working uniform and must be placed on either side aft of the elbow.

Can you tour the naval ships in Norfolk VA?
Don’t miss the tours of the Naval Base. The 45-minute tour departs from the Naval Tour and Information Center located at 9079 Hampton Blvd, next to Gate 5. Bus tours conducted by Navy personnel ride past aircraft carriers, destroyers, frigates, amphibious assault ships and the busy airfield.
Can you tour the inside of the USS Alabama?
The battleship USS ALABAMA, submarine USS DRUM and the Medal of Honor Aircraft Pavilion are all open for tours.
How long does the USS Missouri tour take?
Most people spend about one hour onboard, but you’re welcome to stay much longer. Self-Guided Tour: Self-Guided Tours allow you to set your own pace and can take anywhere from 30 minutes to five hours.
