He misunderstands her confession and decides to take her as his assistant, because, as it turns out, he is a romance manga author, and he seeks inspiration from the people he knows to create his characters.
Is the manga a shoujo or a Shounen?
It settles around a shoujo mangaka (while the manga itself is categorized as shounen) and the themes of romance, often being a parody of what you could call a generic romance shoujo. The jokes are really well played out and the whole manga could be said to be a reference to those shoujos, up to the drawing style which is also very shoujo-esque.
What do you think about Nozaki?
Nozaki is someone who is mentally unaware of almost everything around him, despite him being this so called amazing manga creator. He comes off as so bland and so unaware of social cues that it begins to infuriate you by the second episode.
