Does AIVR have P waves?
AIVR is a regular rhythm with a wide QRS complex (> 0.12 seconds). P waves may be absent, retrograde (following the QRS complex and negative in ECG leads II, III, and aVF), or independent of them (AV dissociation).

Administration of antiarrhythmics to patients with AIVR may cause precipitous hemodynamic deterioration and should be avoided.

However, it is more commonly associated with reperfusion after myocardial injury. AIVR is generally considered to be a benign abnormal heart rhythm.
How serious is AIVR?
AIVR is usually a benign and well-tolerated arrhythmia. Most of the cases will require no treatment and in rare situations such as sustained or incessant AIVR or when AV dissociation induces syncope, the risk of sudden death is higher, and the arrhythmia should be treated.
Can anxiety cause V-tach?
Emotional stressors can lead to ventricular ectopic beats and ventricular tachycardia. Though disturbances of cardiac rhythm due to emotional stress are often transient, sometimes the consequences can be seriously damaging and even fatal [11].
Is AIVR benign?
