How do you adjust Strange double adjustable shocks?
Strange shocks are assembled, inspected and remain at softest setting. Adjust the knob gently by hand and never force the knob beyond the eight settings. Turning knob clockwise will increase (stiffen) compression forces. Turning knob counter-clockwise will decrease (soften) compression forces.
How do you adjust AFCO double adjustable shocks?
AFCO recommends making 2 (TWO) clicks per adjustment to fine tune the chassis. The compression adjustment is made on the body end of the shock. Turning the knob clockwise tightens the valving, making the shock stiffer to compress (right hand threads). This adjustment is also commonly referred to as the “Bump”.
How do double adjustable shocks work?
Double adjustable shocks With double-adjustable shocks, you have the internal shock design + the capability to tune your rebound and compression adjustments for even greater performance and control of how your suspension operates at the track or on the road.
How do you adjust santhuff shocks?
Turn top adjustable 3/8″ hex nut clockwise until nut stops. Turn top adjustable nut counter-clockwise 3 turns. Stroke strut 5 or 6 times to prime the valving and avoid cavitation (After laying horizontal the fluid is displaced). Turn top adjustable nut fully clockwise until nut stops again.
Are shocks supposed to rebound?
Rebound isn’t just the “bounce” – it’s literally what allows your shocks to return to extension fast enough to absorb the next bump. Too slow and your shocks pack down. Too fast and your vehicle or bike becomes a pogo stick that launches you off of obstacles.
Do stiffer springs improve handling?
We make grip with stiff springs to help key the rubber into the road surface and soft shocks in the high-speed range, so as not to interfere with the high speed micro vibration at the tyre contact patch.
Why choose menscer shocks?
““KBX prefers Menscer shocks/struts on any new build or rebuild that comes out of our shop. The performances speak volumes and the track support is second to none. Mark, Craig, and John are always there when you need them.
What size canister do I need for my menscer Motorsports shocks?
All Menscer Motorsports shocks come with 5/8-inch diameter shafts, which is the ideal set-up. The larger the shaft, the more fluid it displaces, and as a result, the shock would be required to have a larger external canister. A shock with a large diameter shaft would also require a greater amount of nitrogen charge and shock fluid.
How do you displace a rear shock Shim?
In order to displace the shims, the pressure level in the aperture holes needs to be great enough to displace the shim stack, thereby allowing the piston to flow oil. This damping process also controls the action between the rear axle and shock mounting points as the shock is in motion.
