The smaller/lighter and faster your car is, the more important it is with a fast servo. On on-road cars you want a servo to be 0,1s or faster, to ensure you have the response needed for these cars. Going to off-road cars, a good 1/10 buggy servo should definitely have a speed of under 0,15s.

Can I mix digital and analog servos?
They can be mixed, but it is really not a good idea. Only if the receiver knows they are digital, and is set up for them. The circuitry inside the servo determines frame rate, not the receiver. The transmitter, if it has the capability, has to be programmed to match the servo.
Which is better digital or analog servo?
The digital servo sends nearly six times the amount of pulses an analog signal does. These faster pulses provide consistent torque for quicker and smoother response times.
What happens if you Overvolt a servo?
Overvolting a servo (running it at a higher voltage than specified) gives an increase in speed and torque. HXT-12K servos are spec’d to run at 4.8V-6V, but can tolerate up to 11V. Careful though! Any higher will damage the servo electronics.

What do you think about high torque servos?
Excellent high torque servos. The feature that really made the sale for me was the servo’s ability to directly from a LiPo 2S (7.4v) without the need for a step down converter. The servos have high torque, run smoothly and appear to be very well made.
