Apply for a library card online. Bring a valid photo ID and proof of current address with you to pick up your library card at any San Diego Public Library locations. By applying for a library card you agree to the San Diego Public Library’s Lending Policies.
How long is a San Diego library card good for?
Your Digital Library Card is valid for a maximum of 30 days. Within the 30 day period, you have the opportunity to convert it to a permanent account by visiting your local branch and presenting your temporary account number (PACREGXXXXXX), along with current proof of California residency* and valid picture ID**.
