- 1Check the floor is level. Start by making sure the shower base is level before laying the screed.
- 2Measure the shower base for your wedges.
- 3Measure the wood to make a wedge.
- 4Cut your wedges.
- 5Lay the wedges in the shower base.
- 6Mix the screed.
- 7Mix and apply the powder mastic.
- 8Apply the screed.
How long after screeding can you waterproof?
Under normal conditions the screed is trafficable in 24 hours with an initial set time of 3 to 4 hours. Depending on weather conditions, allow a minimum of 3-5 days for the Builders Choice Floor Screed to dry before waterproofing can take place.
