turbo the beams engine….it’ll be like turbocharging a b series honda engine except it’ll be stronger with proper tuning…so quick sure u can turbo the beams motor but what’s the point? the 3rd gen 3sgte will make just as much power in stock form. i’m under the impression that the beams 3sge is made to be light weight rather than powerful.

i understand the compression is much higher but 8 psi is nothing really. if the stock 3sgte can hold in excess of 20 psi, provided proper intercooling and such, than surely the beams can handle 8-10 psi without to much stress all things being equal. i see your point though about keeping it stock, thank you.

Should I Sell my beams motor for Turbo?
-If you really want turbo, I’m sure you could sell the BEAMS motor for a very, very high price and use the cash to throw in a gen 3 3S-GTE in there with some cash to spare. But if I were in your position, I’d keep the engine and and have bolt-ons. You will be the envy of most mr2 owners. 🙂
