The market is held on Wednesday and Saturday. The Wednesday market is much smaller and more food focused. It’s a lot of fun and the merchants are used to speaking Rnglish if required. We live Uzes, have been there many times and thoroughly recommend it.

Uzès most dominant landmark is the medieval Duke’s Castle, called the Duchy. It’s a walled structure smack in the middle of the town, complete with turrets, that serves as the Duke’s residence. The dukes of Uzès have lived in the castle for over a thousand years. The present duke is #17.
