Can someone else use my Beamish pass?
Friends of Beamish Membership is not transferable to any other person and membership cards must only be used by the named holder. Staff will always verify the identity of all pass holders prior to admission. Children under 14 years of age must always be accompanied by an adult.
Is Beamish Open all year round?
Museum is open all year except Christmas/Boxing/New Years day and Monday and Friday 7th Jan- 15th Feb 2019.

We had an enjoyable family day out. Beamish is a fun place for all the family with plenty to see and experience. we loved the tram rides and steam train and visit down the pit.

There’s lots of grassy areas and benches throughout and you can bring in your own food too which lots of people did. But we felt we really wanted to support Beamish as they’ve lost 95% of income due to COVID-19 so we bought drinks and food on site. We felt really safe at our visit and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Not only does Dab produce a flaky, sweet and juicy meat (similar to lemon sole) but they are the most sustainable source of white fish available in the North Sea. If more people ate Dab by choice then this would do wonders to relieve the pressure on other heavily exploited fish stocks in the North Sea.

What should I wear to Beamish?
– Wear wellies or sturdy shoes. It’s very muddy. – Wrap up warm if you are going in February/winter. While it can be warmish at that time of year, depending on the sun, parts of Beamish are very open, and the wind fairly whistles through.
