Will fiberglass stick to clay?
IF you are making the clay wall on a sculpture, seal the sculpture with Kryolan Crystal Clear to help keep the fiberglass or silicone from sticking to it. If you’re sealing water (wed) clay, use 7-8 coats of sealer because fiberglass doesn’t do well with moisture at all, and the Crystal Clear helps prevent that.

How do you Polish a fiberglass mold?
For polishing, Fibre Glast Development Co. recommends using a two step polishing compound and a high-speed buffer. The first stage removes the sanding scratches, while the second polishes the surface to the desired finish. After polishing the mold, apply a release agent to it, following the procedures outlined for prepping the plug.
