How short should BJJ pants?
IBJJF gi regulations require at least 7cm of clearance between your skin and the fabric. The length of your gi is largely personal preference. Many practitioners favor the more traditional style, in which your hems hit exactly below the wrist or ankle joint. Others like their gis a bit shorter.
Should gi pants be short?
You can immediately determine if your pant length is right by checking if your hems end at your ankles. The four-finger rule applies to gi pants as well, so be sure that your pant hems rest under four finger widths from your ankle. If not, consider hemming your pants or switching to the next size up.

Can I wear a grey gi?
