Is Berghaus Hydroshell better than Gore Tex?
It uses the Elite version of Hydroshell, with a very respectable breathability of 20,000g and waterproofing to 15,000mm, not as high as a typical Gore-Tex jacket but good enough for most walking situations. The lifetime guarantee for a down jacket is 4 years from manufacture so if it sits in their warehouse for 2 years before you buy, you have 2 years left.
How long does Berghaus take to refund a coat?
It was collected on 11th Jan and returned to Berghaus on 19th Jan. Only after chasing this up a few times did I get a refund for the second coat – apparently refunds take around 14 days from the date they receive the item back, but I now suspect it would not have been refunded if I hadn’t chased it up.
