Is San Antonio famous?
San Antonio is famous for its Hispanic culture and Spanish colonial missions. It’s also known for the Alamo, SeaWorld, and the Riverwalk. But there are a lot more of things that San Antonio is famous for.
How long does it take to tour the Alamo?
There is a lot to see at The Alamo, and we’d suggest you plan to visit for at least 1 hour. Those really interested in the history of the site should allot 2 hours in order to have enough time to see everything you might be interested in.
Can you drink and walk on the Riverwalk?
No. A person with an alcoholic beverage can only exit a licensed premise to an open container area, which is defined as the boundaries of the Riverwalk. It does not allow you to walk anywhere within the Specialty Center except the Riverwalk.
Is the Alamo tour worth it?
It is important and worth seeing and there is a ton of information there to be seen/read along the way. We were probably there about 2 hours and could have read/seen more but we were kind of done. Its free and its the Alamo and so go see it and at least walk around a little bit so you’ve been there.
Does it cost money to visit the Alamo?
Admission to the Alamo Church is free and always will be but to provide a convenient experience, preserve the Alamo’s precious historic building, and reduce crowds, timed reservations are required.
Can you carry alcohol in San Antonio?
Texas’s open container law prohibits you from having an open or unsealed container of alcohol in your vehicle. It does not matter if your vehicle is parked or if the cap is on a previously opened container. Violating the open container law is a Class C misdemeanor, which includes a fine of as much as $500.
Can you bring water into San Antonio Zoo?
Outside food or drink is not allowed into the zoo. Exceptions are: bottled water, baby food, and formula. Ice chests, coolers, and ice bags are not allowed on zoo grounds. *School groups will still be allowed to bring in lunches for their classes.
