Students are selected for entry into the UNSW Medicine Degree on the basis of: ATAR: at least 96 / IB 38. UCAT: the overall score of the cognitive subtests (Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning). There is no minimum UCAT ANZ score as such.

Can I undertake an elective placement within UNSW Medicine?
As with all Phase 3 courses, the elective term is eight-weeks long. Students may undertake one eight-week placement or two four-week placements. When can I apply for the UNSW medicine clerkship program?
The UNSW Medicine Clerkship Program currently accepts applications from March 2022 onward. All places prior to this date have now been filled. Please note the processing of Clerkship applications is currently on hold for students who are residing outside of Australia. Please check back intermittently for any further updates.
