Can I be a mercenary in Skyrim?
Hirelings are mercenaries that you can pick up at various locations for a flat fee of gold. They can be dismissed like any other follower, but if you decide to rehire them they may charge you the 500 gold fee again, if too much time has passed.
Can you make Jenassa your steward?
Jenassa as a Blade. She can be recruited into the Blades during the quest “Rebuilding the Blades” and is also a potential marriage candidate but cannot become a steward.
Can Lydia be my steward?
PC If Lydia is asked to be a steward, then asked to be a follower again, the option for her to become a steward again will be lost. To fix this, part ways with her or attack her until she leaves the Dragonborn’s service, then she will return to the homestead she was steward of.
Can stewards still be followers?
None of the characters make a “better” steward; they all behave exactly the same in that role. They also still work as followers: you can still ask them to follow you again, marry them, etc. The only thing that changes when you make a follower a steward is where they hang out when they stop following you.
Is Jenassa better than Lydia?
Lydia if you want a melee tank, Jenassa if you like stealth or want higher DPS(she is one of the few that dual-wields). Lydia has 50% resistance to Frost while Jenassa has 50% resistance to Fire. Lydia is free to use, while Jenassa costs 500 gold initially(but will ‘sometimes’ let you hire her for free after that).
Is Vorstag a good husband?
Vorstag can be married almost instantly without doing any quests, and like many of the mercenaries, he’s also a candidate for joining the Blades. His warrior character type makes him a pretty decent follower for any ranged characters, as he specializes in heavy armor.
