Based on their score on the placement test, students enrolled at CSULB prior to Fall 2016 fulfill the GWAR by one of the following pathways: Students receiving scores of 11 or higher on the placement test have satisfied the GWAR and may proceed with completion of other degree requirements.

When should I take GWAR?
Undergraduate students must take the course within two semesters after taking the GPE test. However, we encourage you to take your GWAR Portfolio course right away so you don’t delay your graduation.
