How long does it take for skin glue to heal?
Skin glue is applied as a liquid or paste to the edges of the wound. It takes only a few minutes to set. The glue usually forms a scab that peels or falls off in 5 to 10 days. The scar should take about 6 months to fade.
Is dermabond the same as Super Glue?
2-octyl cyanoacrylate (Derma+flex® QS™, SurgiSeal, FloraSeal and Dermabond) causes less skin irritation and increased flexibility and strength compared to traditional ‘Super Glue’.
Do you need a prescription for Dermabond?

Can I put Vaseline on Steri-Strips?
If you have steri strips, do not use Vaseline on your incision as this would keep steri strips from sticking. When you clean the wound, you may gently clean over the top of the steri strips.
Should a cut bleed after being glued?
You may have some swelling, color changes, and bloody crusting on or around the wound for 2 or 3 days. This can be normal, and doesn’t mean the glue isn’t working. The glue will naturally slough off in about 5-7 days.

Can you leave Steri strips on too long?

What is your experience with the surgireal simulated tissue?
The students really enjoyed using the SurgiReal simulated tissue. It allowed them to have a realistic suturing experience that was also highly portable, enabling them to practice suturing almost anywhere. This seemed to greatly improve their comfort with suturing skills and techniques. The only problem I had was trying to get them back.
