Do I need a student ID at CSN?
To get your ID, bring your current semester schedule, photo ID, and paid receipt ($2.00 fee payable at one of CSN’s Cashiers Offices) to any Student Life and Leadership Development Office. Textbooks are NOT OPTIONAL. They are necessary for you to do well in all college classes.
What is the Nevada Promise Scholarship?
The Nevada Promise Scholarship is a unique scholarship established by the Nevada Legislature for Nevada high school graduates to attend community college. As a last-dollar scholarship, the Nevada Promise Scholarship can cover up to three years of tuition and other mandatory fees not covered by other gift aid.

Your TMCC/NSHE Student ID number is provided to you in the admissions letter you received either by email or postal mail. Contact the Admissions and Records Office if you did not receive that information or can not locate it.

What’s considered full time at CSN?
12 credits
Students who register for at least 12 credits are defined as full-time. Students who register for at least 9 credits but no more than 11.5 credits are defined as three-quarter time. Students who register for at least 6 credits but no more than 8.5 credits are defined as half-time.

What is CSN High School?
CSN High School provides a combination of high school and college credits through an agreement between the Clark County School District (CCSD) and the College of Southern Nevada (CSN). There is a CSN High School location on all three CSN main campuses- Henderson (South), North Las Vegas (East), and Charleston (West).
