Getting to Princess lagoon is sort of easy once you’re at the top at Railay viewpoint. All you need to do is follow the path around the top of the peninsula until you see the signs. THE PATH DOWN TO PRINCESS LAGOON WILL BE CLOSED IF THERE IS WET WEATHER OR HAS BEEN WET WEATHER RECENTLY!

The walking jungle path goes from Tonsai to Railay East and is roughly 35- 40 minutes. If you prefer not to hike or trek, hop on a long tail boat for a 5 minute ride which will cost you 50 THB per person (you will have to wait until there are 6-7 people to fill a boat.)
Can you kayak from Ao Nang to Railay?
One of the best days of my south east Asia trip was in Thailand when I rented a kayak -aptly named ‘nomad’- and made the solo voyage from Ao Nang to Railay Beach. I set off from Ao Nang at about around 11am after renting a one-man kayak for $11USD from a lovely old couple on the beach.
