Can I use my Railcard on any train?
Yes, your Railcard is accepted by all the Train Companies who operate Passenger Railway Services within England, Scotland and Wales. Railcards do not give discounts on Eurostar services, Charter services, and Heritage Railways unless state otherwise.
Can I use my Network Railcard before 10am?
Network Railcard discounts are not valid on tickets for travel before 10.00hrs, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). This time restriction applies to all types of tickets. You can use your Network Railcard to get discounts on tickets for travel at any time on weekends and public holidays.
Can you use Railcard before 10am?
Yes you can. However, for all journeys made between 4:30am and 10:00am Monday to Friday a minimum fare of £12 is payable. There is no minimum fare when you travel at weekends, on Public Holidays, or during July and August.

You cannot buy Network Railcard discounted tickets for journeys wholly on the London Underground and Docklands Light Railway. However discounted tickets bought for cross-London rail journeys which involve travel on the London Underground are permitted.
What is the difference between an old and new Network Railcard?
When the “new” Network Railcard was introduced, with the £10.00 minimum fare and altered child discount, there were still a large number of “old” Network Railcards in use, with no minimum fare restriction and £1.00 flat fares for children.
