Do dynapack dynos read low?
Some claim that they are reading flywheel horsepower, others say they just read higher due to having no wheels to measure. On our dyna-packs they read consistently 6-9% lower than a dyno-jet. And very very near the same as a mustang dyno.
Does dynapack read high?
Dynapacks do vary in their calibrations (later model units read very close to dynojets), but all the physics say a Dynapack should read higher than a roller dyno.
Does dynojet read high or low?
Registered. Actually Mustang Dyno’s don’t read low, they read much more accurate than Dynojets which read artificially high. Dyno Dynamics Dyno’s are one of the most accurate, followed by Mustang Dyno’s.
Do hub dynos read higher?
High horsepower hub dynos are always better cause you wont get any wheel spin issues as you do on the rollers but your looking at big horsepower though. If you like impressing your mates with HP numbers go the Hub dyno as it always gives higher numbers lol.
What is better mustang dyno or Dynojet?
Actually Mustang Dyno’s don’t read low, they read much more accurate than Dynojets which read artificially high. Dyno Dynamics Dyno’s are one of the most accurate, followed by Mustang Dyno’s. 714 hp – 20% (roughly what I was told by SRT folks is the drivetrain losses for the Hellcat’s) and it equals 571.2 rwhp.
How many types of dyno are there?
Understanding the different types of Dyno’s In the world of Dynamometers there are two major types, the engine dyno and the chassis dyno. The engine dyno is essentially a test bed on which to run an engine away from a car chassis and at the same time take measurements of the output.
How much is a dynamometer?
We’re also well aware of the pretty penny they invest into their machines. That’s why it’s important to us that at an initial cost of approximately $400-to-$700, they can receive a dyno tuning service that potentially saves them thousands or more down the road, literally.
How much less does a mustang dyno read?
Mustang Dynos can vary greatly, depending on the type of mustang dyno and how its setup. Some can read 5-10% lower and some can read %15 lower.

How does the Dynapack™ work?
The Dynapack™ eliminates this variable by using a hub adapter that provides a direct coupling to our Power Absorption Units. There can be no tire slip, no rolling resistance, and no chance of the vehicle coming off of the dyno at high speeds. Notice that we call this a variable. Sometimes it may be a problem area, other times it may not.
How quiet is a Dynapack™?
Dynapack™ is used around the world at race tracks using a small 1000 watt portable generator. Our dyno at speed measures around 60 to 80dB depending on load – much quieter than the engine at idle. This is especially beneficial if you want to perform NVH (Noise Vibration & Harshness) tests.
