Are Merrell Moab 2 mid waterproof?

Are Merrell boots waterproof?
No, but Merrell makes a Gore-Tex version of this boot that IS waterproof. I have tested both boots by submerging them in water for an hour, shaking them off, and allowing the outside of the boots to dry. Both boots were dry inside after the hour of being submerged.
Is the Moab waterproof and breathable?
We don’t offer a scale of breathability but among waterproof footwear, but the Moab is one of the more breathable options simply due to the mesh paneling. Despite the mesh component, you may still experience perspiration on your feet in some conditions. Helpful?
