Happy 60th anniversary! An 80-year-old couple celebrated their anniversary by dressing up as Up’s Carl and Ellie and playing a duet. YouTube star and pianist Jason Lyle Black produced and uploaded the video of his grandparents performing their rendition of “Married Life”, the theme for Carl and Ellie from the film.
Is Up a sad movie?
Very sad and emotionally intense There are a lot of sad and emotionally intense events in this movie. We stopped the movie at the house fire scene with two sobbing kids. If you have sensitive kids, this may just be too sad.
How did Up end?
The film ends with a shot of Paradise Falls, where it’s revealed that Carl’s house has landed in the spot overlooking the falls exactly where Ellie pictured it. Over the credits, Carl has started a new adventure book detailing his life as he settles into retirement while spending lots of time with Russell.
Is Up suitable for kids?
Parents need to know that Up is the second Pixar movie (after The Incredibles) to receive a PG rating, mostly due to a few potentially frightening scenes involving a band of trained talking dogs trying to get rid of the protagonists, some moments where characters almost fall from a floating house, and some guns firing.
