How do I know if my snowboard boots will fit my bindings?
The heel should fit snugly in the binding. A properly fit binding should allow the boot to flex, but not sway. If you have comfortable boots, and the bindings securely grip your boots with no extra play, then you have a good match.
Do Flow bindings work on Burton boards?
Please note: These discs are for 2010 or newer bindings and are compatible with Burton 2010/11 and newer snowboards. The Flow Channel-disk is a disk specifically designed to fit certain Flow bindings on Burton boards with the new ICS M6-Channel system (as produced by Burton starting season 2010-11 with M6 hardware).
Can you wear step on boots with regular bindings?
Step On boots are designed to work with Step On bindings, and are not designed to be used with any other bindings, including traditional strap bindings.
How much boot overhang is OK on a snowboard?
1/2 inch to 3/4 inch of boot overhang for both toe and heel is ideal, and will not create problematic toe or heel drag. Remember that boots typically add 1/2 at both the toe and heel to your foot measurement from above, due to padding, insulation and the outer boot materials.
Do snowboard bindings make a big difference?
Bindings are just as important as the rest. They are your direct connection to the board, they transfer your energy to it and return this energy if need be. Bindings maximise control, comfort and precision, they are a key component that can enhance your riding experience or literally ruin your day if picked wrong.
Can you over tighten snowboard bindings?
Registered. Over tightening causes the threads to stretch and then they never stay tight. You can replace the bolts but the threads on the inserts get stretched out too. Over time stretching the threads is inevitable but you can make them last as long as possible by not over tightening.
