How do I apply for MSW SJSU?
The MSW program’s application process requires submitting two applications, one to SJSU through Cal State Apply, and one to the School of Social Work through the MSW Program Application Portal. Students must complete both applications to be considered.

What is the MSW program at SJSU?
The MSW Program at SJSU was founded in 1969 and was originally designed to educate and train social workers to work with Spanish speaking populations in California. We currently have three MSW Program models.

We currently have three MSW Program models. In each model, the curriculum prepares students for professional practice, and enables them to work competently with Latinos, other minority groups, and those communities, groups, families, and individuals who are disenfranchised, oppressed, and/or marginalized.
When do I need to submit an application to SJSU?
It is highly recommended to submit an application to SJSU through Cal State Apply before November 15 in order to be issued an SJSU ID# in-time and needed to meet the December 1 deadline. Applicants need to allow for a minimum of 5-10 business days for SJSU to create and email you your SJSU ID#.
