Do I need to change to Stage 2 formula?
You can use stage 1 formulas up until your baby is 12 months old. From 6 months, you can choose stage 2 or follow-on formula, but you don’t need to change to stage 2. You might see advertisements about the benefits of stage 2 or follow-on baby formulas, but these have no advantages over starter or stage 1 formulas.

Does aptamil have prebiotic?
Like Aptamil® Gold+, the prebiotic component* found in Aptamil Profutura has been clinically shown to provide sustained protection against infection, up to 2 years of age,1,2 and allergy up to 5 years of age2–4 when introduced within the first 6 months of life.
Does aptamil contain probiotics?
Aptamil infant, follow-on and growing up milk powders and Aptamil infant 70ml ready to feed (RTF) contain 26% fermented milk. The fermentation process uses the probiotic bacteria Bifidobacterium breve and Streptococcus thermophiles strains as processing aids.
What’s the difference between aptamil Stage 1 and 2?
Stage 1 formula is usually a bit creamier and more satiating than pre-formula, but typically contains (nearly) the same amount of calories. It is recommended to switch to stage 2 formula after month 6 as part of a mixed feeding regiment with baby food.
When should I move to Aptamil 2?
