How long does it take to prepare for Frcr Part 1?
2.5 to 3 months of studies are sufficient to prepare, with 2 or 3 readings of Farr and solving as many MCQs as possible. The two MCQ books which I found the most helpful are Shahzad Ilyas’ ‘Physics MCQs for the Part 1 FRCR’ and ‘Get Through First FRCR’ by Grant Mair.
Who is eligible for Frcr?
Anyone who is undergoing radiology training or has completed training can attempt FRCR Part I. There is no minimum training requirement. After passing both modules of FRCR part 1 and with 24 months of radiology training, you can apply for FRCR 2A.
