What is an Abloy key?
Abloy Protec offers a full range of high security door cylinders and uses a “one key, many locks” system making it very easy to cut one key to fit and open many types of Abloy locks. With a unique, rotating disk cylinder, keys and cuts are made in two different radii making Abloy key duplication impossible.

What are Abloy locks made of?
hardened steel
Most Abloy locks are made of hardened steel and feature thick anti-drill plates. Many other lock manufacturers use brass bodied locks with hardened inserts. Abloy takes drill and grinding protection very seriously and instead makes many of their locks completely out of hardened steel.

It can only be keyed at time of order and not rekeyed later on. The PL 321 is often referred to as an ‘Executive Travel Padlock’.
How do I order a lock for the Abloy protec2?
To order a lock in the Abloy Protec2 you must select a key profile that has the number 2 in its name (ie “Protec2 Elite” or “Ruby2 Exclusive”). Next you have a choice of key profile, the key profile of a lock primarily is an issue of key control.
