What meals are provided in the training program costs? All meals will be at the student’s expense because students are on per-diem. Please Note: The FLETC dining facility will be available at the student’s expense on a cash basis.

The United States Secret Service recruits widely, though it doesn’t hire many people. Those who make it past the battery of mental, physical, and psychological tests must then face a grueling pipeline of training centers that will leave them physically battered, and ever in danger of washing out.
What should I pack for FLETC?
Students are encouraged to bring their issued leather gear, ballistic vest and a “protective cup.” It is not necessary to bring duty weapons because the FLETC will provide them and leather gear, as needed. FLETC uniforms will be provided*; however, students can wear personal navy-blue BDUs.
What is taught at FLETC?
Under a collaborative training model, FLETC’s federal partner organizations deliver training unique to their missions, while FLETC provides training in areas common to all law enforcement officers, such as firearms, driving, tactics, investigations, and legal training.
Why study law enforcement at FLETC?
At FLETC, law enforcement experts teach students how to safely operate firearms, how to drive safely in emergency situations, how to work undercover (in disguise), how to collect and inspect evidence (like fingerprints and photos) at a crime scene, and much more.
