Is there GPU-Z?
TechPowerUp GPU-Z (or just GPU-Z) is a lightweight utility designed to provide information about video cards and GPUs. The program displays the specifications of Graphics Processing Unit (often shortened to GPU) and its memory; also displays temperature, core frequency, memory frequency, GPU load and fan speeds.
How do I enable my GPU?
Re-enable the Graphics Card After Windows starts up, open up the Device Manager. Now, scroll down to Display Adapters and click on it. Next, right-click on your graphics card and select Enable Device if it’s disabled.
How do I change GPU in BIOS?
From the BIOS screen, expand the Video group. Select Switchable Graphics. Un-check the Enable Switchable Graphics box on the right side of the screen. Select Apply at the bottom right.
Do I need to update my GPU BIOS?
Yes. Be careful to follow manufacturer’s instructions when flashing bios, as it indeed is risky and can bork your windows installation (and the motherboard itself). Also, backup your stuff before you do anything and have your windows install usb key on hand in case you need to run a quick repair on boot.
How can I check my GPU online?
To find out what graphics card you have, open the Start menu or desktop search bar on your PC, start typing Device Manager, and select it when the option appears. You’ll see an entry near the top for Display adapters. Click the drop-down arrow and the name and model of your GPU will appear right below.
