Lenzing fibers are made of cellulose, the core component of all plants on earth. Our source material wood is perfectly renewable: Trees regrow. Ultimately, plants convert sunlight, water and atmospheric CO2 into cellulose, from which aesthetic, emotional and highly functional products are made.
Is Lenzing eco friendly?
We use all valuable components offered by our sustainable and natural raw material wood. If at all possible, we process our raw materials in closed loop production cycles. Our fibers are biodegradable at the end of their life cycle.

Which fiber is sustainable?
Silk is a protein fiber spun by silkworms and is a renewable resource. Silk is also biodegradable. For these reasons, we consider silk a sustainable fiber. However, chemicals are used to produce conventional silk, so we will always consider organic silk to be a better option.
Is Lenzing modal soft?
Modal is often confused with Lyocell given their similarities and Lenzing makes both. Modal is slightly softer and more delicate but both are comfortable, breathable and absorb moisture.
Can you iron Lenzing?
Lenzing EcoVero fibers can easily melt and too much ironing will eventually damage the fabric.
