How do you calculate cable?
A = √(i2t) / k
- A, is the minimum size of the cable.
- I, is short circuit current.
- t, is the time for short circuit.
- k is short circuit temperature constant.
How do you calculate cable factors?
Calculations:
- As per Table Cable Factor for 1.5 Sq.mm Stranded Cable=8.1.
- As per Table Cable Factor for 2.5 Sq.mm Stranded Cable=11.4.
- As per Table Cable Factor for 2.5 Sq.mm Stranded Cable=22.9.
- Total Cable Factor= No of Cables X Cable Factor.
- Total Cable Factor=(30X8.1)+(50X11.4)+(20X22.9)
- Total Cable Factor=1271.
How the selection of size of the cable is decided?
Cable size selection is based on three main factors: Current carrying capacity. Voltage regulation. Short circuit rating.
How is cable size measured?
Measure the diameter with calipers. Place an electrical wire between the jaws of a set of Vernier calipers. Slide the movable jaw around the cable without compressing the insulation and read the measurement where the line from the moving indicator meets the stationary scale for a diameter.
What is HT cable size?
This cable is used for up to 11 Kv, the conductor of the material is Aluminium conductor A high-voltage cable (HV cable) is a cable used for electric power transmission at high voltage….3 Core HT Cable, 95 sq mm.
Number of Cores | 3 Core |
---|---|
Conductor Material | Aluminum |
Voltage Rating | 11 KV |
Conductor Size | 95 sq mm |
Conductor Stranding | Solid |
What is cable selection?
Cable select, also referred to by the acronym CS, is a disk drive jumper setting which automatically sets the priority of a disk drive by its position on its data cable.
What is HT and LT cable?
Difference between LT and HT Cable: The categorization of cables can be done as low voltage cables or high voltage cables. They are also known as high tension (HT) cables and low tension (LT) cable. Further categorization of LT and HT Cables is done as follows: Rating: LT cables have a rating from 660 V to 1100 V.
