How old do you have to be to go to Lips San Diego?
We are an all ages venue, however we strongly recommend no one under the age of 13. Our shows have colorful language and the innuendos fly freely. Parties under the age of 18 are required to have an adult present at all times.
Is there a dress code for Lips San Diego?
All the cocktails hover around the $10 range and are very much whatever, but again, this is about the experience. They have a dress code clearly stated on their website, so don’t wear shorts and be aware that there is a $15 food minimum along with a $5 cover on weekdays and $10 on weekends.
Do you tip drag queens?
Number two, tip! Drag is expensive! A lot of us do drag full-time, so these tips really help us to not only pay for our drag, but for our rent and bills as well. Always tip your performers, DJs, and bartenders.

We suggest a gratuity of 20%. YES – We do require a credit or debit card to hold all reservations, but you may pay your check however you’d like.
