I would say areas to avoid: parkwood,shepway,senacre,tovil (coombe road area,tovil green is ok). Nice areas: allington,bearsted,barming,penenden heath,vinters park. We moved in september to allington as its got the top primary school in maidstone, and it is easy to get onto the motorway or into town.
