Introduced in 2012, the Nano SIM is the most recent and smallest version of SIM card. It measures a mere 8.8 x 12.3mm, and there’s almost no blank plastic around the chip. These days, it’s by far the most common and widely used SIM size. If you have a modern handset, it most likely uses a Nano SIM.
What is the size difference between a micro SIM and a nano SIM?
Nano SIM is the smallest of all SIM card specifications which measures only 8.8mm in width, 12.3mm in height, and 0.67mm in thickness. Micro SIM cards are the trimmed versions of the regular-sized Mini SIM cards measuring 12mm × 15mm with 0.76mm in thickness.
