What units are at Fort Carson?
Fort Carson is located near Colorado Springs, Colorado and is home to the 4th Infantry Division, the 10th Special Forces Group, the 440th Civil Affairs Battalion, and the 71st Ordinance Group, among many other units. Reserve units for the Army, Navy and Colorado Army National Guard also conduct operations from Fort Carson.
What is the Fort Carson PX like?
They have a big pet section which i like and lots of store employees. Love the PX at Fort Carson. They had a great sale on winter coats e we hen we were visiting. The store looked smaller than other PX’s we voted. Staff was inattentive, but that is the norm at most PX/BX’s.
What makes Fort Carson a good duty station?
The beautiful scenery of the surrounding area make Fort Carson the second most requested duty station in the Continental United States. Colorado Springs is located at the base of Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains.
Is Fort Carson a good place to buy from?
I do recommend shopping there because the store has awesome sales all the time but be prepared for the really bad customer service from the employees. Fort Carson has a solid Post Exchange with surprisingly competitive prices. We purchased a flat screen curved television for $200 less than Walmart, Best Buy, and Amazon.
