How do I approve someone on CorrLinks?
Users can now add add new correspondents by clicking on the link to Corrlinks in the request email. After signing in to the account, insert the identification code into the box and click on “Accept“. Now they are on your list!
How does CorrLinks work for inmates?
When an inmate wants to contact someone on the outside, they log into CorrLinks and input the email address of the person they want to contact and the message. The system generates an email and sends it to that person on the inmate’s behalf. There is no direct or real-time contact between the two.
Is CorrLinks only for federal inmates?
CorrLinks is the official email system used by the Bureau of Prisons to allow federal inmates to communicate with those on the outside. Inmates pay in order to use CorrLinks. However, it is free to those on the outside. You can upgrade to a premium account for a small fee, but this is not necessary.

Approximately two hours after sending the email, the email should reach the Corrlinks repository. The intended recipient can then log into Corrlinks.com. From there, the person can receive email messages that the person in prison has sent.
