Are East Herts Council collecting brown bins?
Our chargeable Garden Waste Collection service was introduced on 1 April 2021. If you choose to sign up, your garden waste will be collected each fortnight from your brown bin on your usual recycling day.

Kitchen caddies, compostable liners and garden waste sacks You can line your caddy with newspaper or compostable liners(see below for where to purchase). Garden waste sacks are for additional garden waste and you can put up to three sacks out alongside your green bin on collection day.

General kitchen ware (for example, cutlery, pots and pans) and home goods can be taken to charity for reuse if in good working order. Otherwise, please dispose of in the appropriate container at your nearest Recycling Centre.
