Does Betaflight need a compass?
Betaflight doesn’t require a compass, so there is no need to use a GPS receiver with built-in compass, only it’s heavier and more expensive.
Does Betaflight have GPS hold?
GPS Rescue mode in Betaflight is similar to “Return to Home” on a DJI drone. It is meant to help bail you out when your video feed or radio signal gets sketchy, and in failsafe, the quad is supposed to return to you automatically using GPS.

When will the Naza-m v2 assistant software be discontinued?

Don’t know if anyone tried this or not, but, since the instructions in page 7 of the NAZA M V2 manual (also page 15 in A2 user manual) states that “The installer in EXE format is supported on win XP, Win7, Win8 (32 or 64 Bit), I tried downloading the ZIP file instead. I then went to the download folder, located the ZIP file and opened it.
