What is leather dressing used for?
This specially formulated blend of waxes and USP Grade Petroleum products help repel dirt and water from entering the leather where they cause the greatest damage. The oils in the leather dressing lubricate and plump up the fibers, allowing them to move smoothly against each other without binding and abrading.
Can I use Lexol on leatherette?
1) new synthetic leather use laminate ( fake leather and fabric) and a leather conditioner contains acid that can delaminate and greatly damage the material. it’s okay to use lexol cleaner, but an APC would be cheaper to use. 2) On Leatherette, I could use lexol conditioner but again, 303 would be a better option.
Can you use animal fat to condition leather?
We suggest using a conditioner with as many natural ingredients as possible – meaning animal fats (like lanolin and tallow) and animal oils (cod or neatsfoot oil) and bit of beeswax will also do the leather some good. You could use an animal oil alone, but the addition of beeswax makes it easier to apply.
How do you treat fine leather?

Can you use coconut oil to condition leather?
Coconut oil is an excellent conditioner for leather and faux leather material. Use a clean, dry cloth to buff the oil onto the leather or faux leather surface. When the temperature is cold, coconut oil hardens.
How do you strengthen leather?

Make sure the leatherette is clean and dry before applying conditioner. Use lint-free microfiber cloth to apply the leather conditioner in thin, even coats to the entire surface area of the leatherette and bluff away any excess conditioner. Allow time for the conditioner to absorb and dry for a minimum of two hours.
Is silicone good for leather?

Does Lexol have lanolin?

Ironically, Summit Industries is the third or fourth largest user of Lanolin in the United States yet, despite of our considerable research, we do not use a drop of Lanolin in Lexol products! Our use of Lanolin is reserved exclusively for our skin care ointments.

Preserve older imitation leather with Vinyl Protector. The Vinyl Protector prevents soiling and reduces friction damages. The Vinyl Protector does not generate an artificial gloss. Apply evenly with a soft cloth and let dry.
