Is the listening room 21+?
We are a family-friendly, smoke-free music venue and restaurant. Patrons under 21 years of age are not permitted to sit at the bar, but are more than welcome to enjoy their meal at one of our dining room tables. Our $15 food/beverage minimum applies to all guests.

The Listening Room Cafe was founded in 2006 in historic Franklin, Tennessee. Our founder and owner, Chris Blair, is a singer/songwriter himself. As he played around town, he realized he couldn’t find a local venue that he felt had the sound and atmosphere that Nashville artists deserved.

But you might be wondering, what is a dedicated listening room? It’s simply that, a room that is only used for listening to and appreciating music. The room’s design is usually made up of a two-channel audio system and a place to sit and listen.

We recommend starting with an equilateral triangle where the distance between the speakers is equal to the distance between each speaker and the listening position. Usually you want the speakers either right up on the front wall as close as you can get them, or at least 3-4′ away from the front wall.
