I’ve tried these and have used them on more than 1 car. They are a decent “street” pad and exhibits lower brake dust than OEM and doesn’t squeal like some of the high performance street pads. They also retain most of the cold initial bite vs other high performance street pads.

I have fitted the mtec grooved ones all round to my 2.2 and have no problems as yet over a few thousand miles but the standard mintex pads are not good at high temps. I have ebc yellowstuff pads which work a treat. I agree about the drilled discs – they can fatigue with many heat cycles.

How good are the brakes on the EBC?
The brakes are firm and sharp from cold which i feel is more important than a higher performance pad that doesn’t work until its warmed up. No issues at all with fitting the discs or the discs themselves. got mtec drilled & grooved on the fronts with ebc yellowstuff and not a problem so far.
