Can I just stop taking Zumenon?
You may need to stop taking Zumenon about 4 to 6 weeks before the operation to reduce the risk of a blood clot (see section 2, Blood clots in a vein). Ask your doctor when you can start taking Zumenon again. Do not stop taking Zumenon without first talking to your doctor.
Will I lose weight if I take HRT?
Many women actually find that they lose weight by using HRT as it shifts the metabolism back into a pre-menopausal metabolic state. Progesterone can sometimes cause fluid retention which can mimic weight gain, but there are alterations that can be made to the regime to minimise this impact.
What are the excipients of zumenon tablets?
Zumenon tablets are immediate-release, film-coated tablets for oral use containing 2 mg of micronised estradiol (equivalent to 2.06 mg estradiol hemihydrate). Excipients with known effect. How often should I take zumenon tablets?
Zumenon tablets should be taken once a day on a continuous basis. Your need for continued HRT should be reviewed with your doctor at least once a year. The tablets should be swallowed with a drink.
Does zumenon cause drowsiness?
Zumenon does not cause drowsiness. Zumenon has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines. However, adverse effects of Zumenon include dizziness and visual disturbances which could affect the ability to drive or use machines (see Section 4.8 Adverse Effects (Undesirable Effects)).
Can zumenon 2mg be used to treat oestrogen deficiency?
If the complaints linked to oestrogen deficiency are not ameliorated the dosage can be increased by using Zumenon 2mg. In women who are not taking hormone replacement therapy and who are amenorrhoeic, are hysterectomised, or women who switch from a continuous combined hormone replacement therapy, treatment may be started on any convenient day.
