How long does the PNE last?
Taking place the last three weeks of the summer and finishing on the Labour Day Long Weekend (most years at least), the PNE is when Vancouver’s Playland turns into a first-class fair. 2021 dates were from August 21st to September 6th. In 2022 the fair runs most days from August 20th until September 5th.

Why are Playland rides closed?
The PNE says the roller-coaster — which is arguably the biggest attraction at the park — will remain closed for the remainder of 2021, including through the PNE Fair, due to a major refurbishment project.
