In 2004, Frothy Monkey opened in a 1200 square foot bungalow in the transitional 12South neighborhood. A year and a half later, current Managing Partner and visionary Ryan Pruitt, joined the local coffeehouse’s staff, eventually becoming General Manager.

R yan Pruitt bought Frothy Monkey from founder Miranda Pontes in 2011. At the time, it was a 1,200-square-foot coffeehouse in 12South. Today, Frothy Monkey has three locations in Nashville and one in downtown Franklin.
