What do I do with unwanted cat food?
Food Bins. You can drop off any new or unwanted cat/dog food into our food bins. Our volunteers collect these regularly and distribute them to fosterers and feral sites. Any wet/dry food or treats are welcome and Customer Services will tell you where our bin is within a store if you cannot find it.

Keep in mind that dry food will grow stale within a day and may not be as appealing to your cat once this happens.

Pet Relinquishment Austin Pets Alive! is not a municipal intake shelter! Current policy requires that intake must be by appointment only. This applies to owner surrenders and found pets. If a dog is found call 311 and they will pick up within 72 hours.
