The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) provides assistance through mentorship, academic programs, financial assistance, counseling/advising, and other campus support services to those who are first-generation college students, and/or from low-income and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds.
Is EOP for low income?
EOP applicants must be highly motivated, historically low-income (minimum of 10 years within the USA), educationally disadvantaged and first-generation college students (parents have not completed a four-year college degree – siblings do not count).

UCSB is committed to getting financial aid refunds to students in the safest and most expedient means possible. To that end, we strongly encourage all students receiving financial aid to enroll in eRefund. eRefund is a system that provides UCSB with the ability to issue a direct deposit of funds to a student’s personal checking or savings account.
