What is Octatrack good for?
The Octatrack MKII brings enormous sample processing ability into a machine designed for live performance. It redefines how you transform your sounds, as well as how you interact and play with them. It lets you do things that were previously impossible with a single instrument.
How many inputs does the Octatrack have?

How do you update Octatrack mk2?
To upgrade from the sysex file you need to send it over DIN MIDI. And that means you need software that can send a sysex file over MIDI. It’s much easier to mount the CF card over USB and copy the file over, then upgrade from that file. Put the octatrack into USB disk mode, then mount it on your computer.
Does Octatrack work with overbridge?
It has been stated a few times that over bridge will NOT be available with octatrack. Would be nice but it seems a no go… Maybe a mkII someday? One option to consider for multi tracking is that most performance parameters from the OT can be recorded in real time as MIDI CC to a DAW and played back to the Octatrack.

Model:Cycles is polyphonic in that it can play more than one sound at a time but each Machine is, as previously mentioned, monophonic.

Final Verdict. No matter whether you want to call it a groovebox or not, Model:Cycles is a fun and inspiring instrument. The sequencer is just complicated enough to keep things interesting but not so impenetrable that you’ll be reaching for the manual every two seconds.
